ED SHEERAN RELEASES HEARTFELT MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “OLD PHONE”

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ALBUM PLAY ARRIVING EVERYWHERE SEPTEMBER 12 PRE-ORDER HERE
Multiple-GRAMMY winning, Diamond-certified, global superstar Ed Sheeran has unveiled the official music video for his recently released single ‘Old Phone.’ Watch HERE . ‘Old Phone’ is the second song – following lead single ‘Azizam’ – that Sheeran has shared from his forthcoming album ‘Play’, arriving everywhere via Gingerbread Man Records/Atlantic Records on September 12th and available for pre-order now. Directed by Emil Nava, the ‘Old Phone’ music video is a touching tribute to the beauty of connection and memory. In a heartfelt introduction, Ed talks about the background to the song, delving into the bittersweet memories evoked by rediscovering an old phone, unearthing text messages and photos from cherished moments with people who are no longer here.

To bring the song to life, Ed conceived the idea of building the Old Phone Pub in Ipswich, Massachusetts, creating a space to connect with his fans and their stories. As Ed puts it, “ I thought I’d build a pub somewhere, and do a gig, and I put it out there to my fans, and said do you want to come to this gig, go on your old phone and find a message that means a lot to you, or a video that means a lot to you”

The video artfully weaves together moments of Ed reflecting on his own memories —with scenes of the Old Phone pub’s construction. Fans are introduced to the heartfelt community spirit as Ed interacts with locals, practices for the gig, and hears personal stories from attendees…from a fan’s video of her two young daughters playing, to a clip of friends enjoying the snow after a breakup, or a poignant memory of dancing with a grandmother who has since passed, each story shared by fans becomes a testament to the emotional power of memory and music. The climax of the video showcases an intimate live performance at the Old Phone Pub.

Ahead of the song’s release last week, Sheeran announced the arrival of ‘Old Phone’ by launching @teddysoldphone, an Instagram account featuring never before seen photos from Ed’s actual old phone, which he stopped using in 2015, before moving solely to email. Ed has been teasing the track over the past few weeks, including an impromptu performance of the song on the Tonight Show couch while chatting with Jimmy Fallon, as part of his set at his pop up pub during Coachella, and most recently playing it as a duet with Noah Kahan at Santa’s Pub in Nashville. Ed was recently featured on the cover of this year’s TIME100 as one of the world’s most influential people.

4x GRAMMY® Award and Emmy Award winning, RIAA multi-platinum certified superstar Lizzo serves up a new version of her single, “Still Bad (Animal Style)”. Lizzo took to her socials to explain the re-release of her favorite demo version of “Still Bad” HERE. The new video, directed by B.K. Barone, shares a celebratory night with Lizzo in NYC post-MET Gala, wearing her Christian Siriano couture gown. The evening culminates at the legendary gay bar Pieces where she parties with the iconic Shequida Hall and the drag queens of “Drag Wars.” Watch the official music video HERE. “Still Bad (Animal Style)” will be available on all streaming platforms via Nice Life Recording Company/Atlantic Records on May 9 at 12am ET HERE.

Lizzo recently took center stage for the fourth time on Saturday Night Live, performing a mashup of hits “Love In Real Life” and “Still Bad,” in addition to debuting a new unreleased song “Don’t Make Me Love You.” Furthermore, Lizzo put her acting skills to work when she was featured in two hilarious sketches titled “White Potus” and “New Parents.”

To celebrate the launch of her new music, the 3-year anniversary of her brand Yitty, and her appearance on SNL, Lizzo made a stop last week in custom Yitty at Late Night With Seth Meyers. In addition, she had an insightful conversation with author, podcaster, and life coach Jay Shetty on “On Purpose With Jay Shetty.”

Everything heralds the arrival of her fifth full-length LP and one of the most anticipated albums of 2025, Love In Real Life.

To celebrate the start of this chapter, Lizzo performed three super intimate fan shows. She graced the stage of The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Irving Plaza in New York, NY, and First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN.

In February, she ignited social media by teasing “Love In Real Life.” First up, she bid “farewell” to her Special era in a viral post, followed by the reveal of a flute-soundtracked trailer for “Love In Real Life,” generating hundreds of thousands of views and “likes.” Rolling Stone noted, “She is entering a ‘new era’ of music,” and Billboard excitedly proclaimed, “It’s about damn time for some new Lizzo music.”

Stay tuned for more music and surprises soon.

This chapter is all about love, life, and Lizzo…

Award-winning Irish singer Moncrieff releases his hotly-anticipated debut album and shares brand new song, Something To You.

Listen To Something To You

9 May: Moncrieff has released his long-awaited debut album, maybe it’s fine, and shares the latest track to be taken from it, Something To You.

Though it might be Moncrieff’s first album, maybe it’s fine is the culmination

of a decade-long musical journey which has seen the Waterford-born singer rack up over 40 million streams and win over fans from Elton John to late producer/DJ Avicii.

Over twelve wildly divergent tracks that span gospel-powered epics (Somebody’s Baby), late-night confessionals (I Just Don’t Think I’ll Make It Over You), euphoric pop (Shangri-La), future-facing R&B (High For Free), liquid funk grooves (Hard Feelings) and more, Maybe It’s Fine finds Moncrieff surveying his own evolution as an artist and a person. From the struggling songwriter still trying to make sense of the loss of his siblings when he was a teenager to the multifaceted artist behind such hit releases as 2022’s Warm, winner of the prestigious RTÉ Choice Music Prize for Irish Song of the Year.

“I started this journey into music ten years ago and trying to condense it into twelve songs was difficult,” Moncrieff says of the album. “In that time, I’ve been countless different versions of myself. This album is the story of that growth. Where I’ve come from, where I am and where I’m going.”

The tracks Moncrieff has released from maybe it’s fine so far have given a small taste of the depth and breadth of sounds and styles on the album. Today, he also shares Something To You, yet another song that pivots into fresh territory for the singer; its bouncing acoustic shuffle and pristine new wave sparkle masking a darker emotional undertow.

“It’s dressed up as a bit of a party song, but underneath it’s about wanting to be used if that’s the only way you’re going to get something from someone,” says the singer. “I met this person at a house party, and it was so exciting. However, my feelings became a bit deeper and theirs were never really there. But it was such a fun thing that you don’t really care. Like, I don’t care if it’s all or nothing, I just want to be something to you… Whatever it is, I’ll take it.”

May 2, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) – Just days after kicking off the US leg of their sold-out 2025 headline tour, rising Irish folk trio Amble share new single “Treehouse Wings,” the latest off their anxiously awaited debut album, Reverie, out May 23rd via Warner Records. Listen to “Treehouse Wings” HERE and pre-order/Pre-save Reverie HERE.

“Treehouse Wings” arrives alongside the announcement of additional fall dates added to Amble’s Reverie Tour, continuing their extensive sold-out run throughout the US, Canada, Europe/UK, and Australia. Building on their impressive headline tour success,  Amble will also notably support Hozier in legendary stadiums and arenas across North America this summer, including two sold-out nights at Fenway Park this June following their US festival debut at Boston Calling. The newly announced fall headline shows go on sale today at 10am local time at www.ambleofficial.com. See upcoming North American shows below, and see a full list of dates worldwide HERE.

Beloved for their descriptive storytelling, heartfelt lyrics, and powerful live performances, Amble’s full-length debut Reverie showcases their signature sound: no-frills acoustic instrumentation, serene soundscapes, and heavenly natural harmonies. The forthcoming 14-track project – which was recorded live in various studios across Ireland and Los Angeles – features recent singles “Swan Song” and “Schoolyard Days,” fan-adored songs like “Lonely Island” and “Mary’s Pub” plus 8 new tracks.

Adding to their recent momentum, the band just unveiled a stunning performance of “Schoolyard Days” for Mahogany Sessions. This follows their captivating performance of “Swan Song” on The Late Late Show earlier this month, as well as GRAMMY.com who applauded, “the quiet power of their novelistic folk sound – minimal and meditative, yet deeply resonant.”

Amble —Robbie Cunningham (lead vocals/guitar), Ross McNerney (mandolin), and Oisin McCaffrey (guitar/vocals)— has experienced a meteoric rise since forming in late 2022. The trio’s journey from quitting their day jobs in rural Western Ireland to achieving international recognition, buoyed by over 100 million streams and 100K tickets sold worldwide, is a testament to their dedication and connection with audiences.

Stay tuned for much more from Amble in 2025.

GALWAY BAND ‘NEWDAD’ RELEASE NEW EP ‘SAFE’ OUT NOW!

NEWDAD RELEASE ‘SAFE’ EP ON MAY 2

LISTEN HERE

LIVE SHOW AT THE DOME ON MAY 14

The beauty and bite of NewDad’s debut album ‘Madra’ made the Galway band one of the biggest new hopes around. Bringing a youthful zest to storied influences such as Slowdive, The Cure and Cocteau Twins, their amalgamation of classic ‘90s aesthetics attracted a diverse and still-growing audience. Teenagers threw themselves around in the mosh pit with care-free abandon at their headline show at London’s Koko, Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and even at places as far flung as Tokyo and Shanghai in front of 1600 fans.

And NewDad’s future is now just a step away as they release their new EP ‘Safe’. Their core shoegaze/dream-pop sound elevated with a swaggering new self-confidence, a tight, masterly control of hooks, and broader touch points such as Pavement and Sonic Youth. In short: their ethereal elements feel more alluring than ever; the visceral moments are more selective and dynamic but hit just as hard; and their songs are simply a leap in sophistication beyond ‘Madra’.

As summarised by Fiachra, “It just needed to be NewDad but better. Everything had to get elevated,” while guitarist Sean O’Dowd states that the songs are “Big and bold, but with a light sense and kind of airier.” Julie expands, noting a balance between finding those nuanced details that reward repeat listens while keeping their visceral raw power. “There’s so much intricacy but they’re just so much fun to play.”

‘Safe’ marks a bold step forward for the band as they move beyond their long-standing collaboration with Chris W Ryan to work with 26-year-old prodigy Sam Breathwick, aka Shrink — one of the UK’s most talked-about young producers. In the short term, Shrink is also joining the live lineup, bringing his studio magic to the stage on lead guitar and synths, as NewDad expand their ambitious sound and reach toward a growing international audience.

Following the success of Madra—an album whose songs were written over an impressive eight-year span but recorded in just a fortnight—their latest ‘Safe’ EP project showcases a much swifter process. Recorded in January at the renowned Decoy Studios, this new record captures the same intensity and focus within a similarly condensed time frame.

Its lead single, ‘Entertainer’, encapsulates their growth. Julie’s vocal glides like a conversation with an imaginary friend, while every touch – her slacker rock cadence, distorted stabs of guitars, foreboding synth flourishes and drums which flow from spacious to savage – embeds itself in your mind and refuses to let go.

“The song is about entertaining other people’s idea of who you should be,” explains Julie. “I’m only learning now that I just need to shut out the noise and do what makes me feel comfortable.”

In fact, the entire EP rotates around similar introspective conflicts: being a people pleaser but standing up for yourself; realising that success brings a fresh wave of unexpected challenges, adapting to their new lives in an often overwhelming London. But musically it shows that NewDad should have no fears as whatever they can imagine they can thrillingly bring to life.

It’s a trait present as the title track erupts into a fierce denouement. It’s there as Fiachra’s personal favourite, ‘Puzzle’, lurches into a seasick grunge waltz with lyrics inspired by Norman Mailer’s ‘The Executioner’s Song’. And it’s especially there with the affecting string arrangement on ‘Be Kind’ – something that Sean affirms that they would’ve have previously recreated using synths.

NewDad’s transition from ‘Madra’ to ‘Safe’ felt symbolically complete when they attended the Choice Music Awards after being nominated for Album of the Year.

Talking of which, album number two is firmly in development but they’re keeping their cards close to their chest regarding its finer details… for now.  “The album will be another step up,” offers Julie, “It’s a lot more unapologetic and a lot more self assured”

Ed Sheeran has announced that his new album ‘PLAY’ will be released on 12th September 2025. (Pre-order here).
To mark the occasion he has released a new single ‘Old Phone’  (Listen here).

After closing the chapter on his Mathematics series, Ed Sheeran is finally back and stepping boldly into a fresh new phase for 2025.   An artist known for constantly evolving, Sheeran’s latest album, ‘PLAY’ finds him exploring new musical ground through collaboration with producers and musicians from around the world, as well as diving deeper into the timeless sounds and themes that have made him one of the world’s best-loved pop artists. Inspired in part by his exposure to Indian and Persian musical cultures—and their surprising connections to the Irish folk tradition he grew up with, through shared scales, rhythms, and melodies—he explored this borderless musical language, giving the album its distinctive, fresh edge. On more familiar ground, Sheeran also reminds us why he remains the most influential singer-songwriter of his generation, delivering a series of stunning ballads and acoustic-driven songs. The result is a collection that plays with both the familiar and the new, creating a bold, pop-driven sound that only Ed Sheeran could deliver — a vibrant showcase of his artistry that feels both exciting and transformative, and promises to be one of the defining albums of the year.

Ed said…”Play was an album that was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life. Coming out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour, and explore cultures in the countries I was touring. I made this record all over the world, finished it in Goa, India, and had some of the most fun, explorative creative days of my life. It’s a real rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, it encapsulates everything that I love about music, and the fun in it, but also where I am in life as a human, a partner, a father. Going into this album campaign I said to myself ‘I just want everything I do to be fun and playful’ – so that’s why we are building pubs for folk jams, doing gigs on open top buses and singing in pink cowboy hats on bars. The older I get the more I just want to enjoy things, and savour the moments that are mad and chaotic. You can preorder play now, many many more playful things to come before it’s out x”

After the release of his global, hedonistic, technicolor pop hit ’Azizam’, Sheeran gets nostalgic on his brand new single ‘Old Phone’, narrating the disorienting act of reconnecting with his past. Powering up an old phone unused since 2015, he unearths messages from a lost friend, an argument with an ex, and distant family, highlighting how time and separation reshape identity. Blending nostalgic acoustic melodies with raw emotion, the song recalls Ed’s early songwriting roots while exploring growth and memory, capturing an artist that is shaped and transformed by his past   ‘Old Phone’ has been produced by Blake Slatkin & Ilya Salmanzadeh

BEA AND HER BUSINESS SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘RICH’

BEA AND HER BUSINESS

SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘RICH’

LISTEN/WATCH HERE

ON TOUR WITH MXMTOON THIS MONTH – INCLUDES A DUBLIN SHOW AT THE ACADEMY

“The 20-year-old riser has a potent pop vision.” – Clash

“Bea’s rise is rooted in a love for poetry and a knack for turning personal experiences into music that resonates on a profound level.” – Notion

“Every note she sings, every lyric she writes, is a step closer to that dream of massive stadium pop.” – Dork

“Lush vocals, pristine production and heartfelt, relatable lyricism.” – 1883 Magazine

Bea and her Business continues to cement her status as the UK’s next breakthrough pop icon as she shares her new single ‘Rich’.

Set to an addictive distorted beat, ‘Rich’ is a swaggeringly self-confident girl-next-door anthem for being determined to be yourself – regardless of what anyone else thinks. Co-written with Steve Mac, Bea’s distinctive powerful vocal takes centre stage as she lyrically asserts that she can give-or-take the decadence and disarray of the party scene, just so long as she’s got her friends around her.

With over 125 million streams and views to date Bea is already building a deep personal connection with a huge audience, while industry acclaim in 2025 alone has included Amazon’s Artists To Watch, being named as a Shazam Fast Forward Artist, and earning a nomination for MTV Push for the UK and Ireland.

.

Bea says, “’Rich’ describes the feeling of longing for freedom, fun and chaos. It’s about getting out of the house, breaking a sweat, acting your age and a reminder to stop taking life so seriously. It nods to the importance of the work life balance and the idea that letting your hair down is just as important as working your ass off !”

A growing fanbase is falling under Bea’s spell and it’s easy to see why. Her songs tackle the universal experiences of teen and young adulthood, from dubious friendships and even worse relationships to mental health struggles and self-image issues. And as the likes of ‘Born To Be Alive’, ‘Safety Net’ and ‘Me Against My Head’ have shown, not only do her lyrics give fans a comforting, relatable take on such struggles, but her dark humour also provides an escape too.

Her two EPs to date, 2023’s ‘Introverted Extrovert’ and last year’s ‘Me Vs. Me’, have seen Bea and her Business push forwards on all fronts. Expect her brand of larger-than-life pop and witty, real-life observations to connect with new international audiences as 2025 unfolds.

Having sold-out a headline show at KOKO and further gigs across Europe and North America, Bea and her Business’s touring plans for 2025 are now heating up. This month will see her tour across the UK and Europe as special guest to bedroom pop icon mxmtoon, including a London show at Heaven on May 24th. Bea is also confirmed to tour Australia as special guests to The Wombats in September / October. She will also join them on the touring SummerSalt Festival, with her first two down under headline shows confirmed in Melbourne and Sydney.
