August 22, 2025 – Continuing their momentous past year, rising Irish folk trio Amble return with new single “Hand Me Downs,” the title track off their forthcoming EP, arriving September 29th on Warner Records. Listen HERE and pre-save the EP HERE.

The announcement arrives as Amble is in the midst of a prolific run following their debut album, Reverie, which earned acclaim from the likes of NPR, Stereogum, Rolling Stone, and more. Upon its release earlier this summer, the record clinched #1 on Ireland’s Official Albums Chart for 4 weeks, marking the biggest Irish debut since 2019. This morning, in addition to announcing a forthcoming EP, the band also proclaimed three new shows – SSE Arena, Belfast on 10th December 2025, 3Arena, Dublin on 11th December 2025 and Virgin Media Park, Cork on 26th June 2026. More information on that HERE. This is in addition to their previously announced sold-out 3Arena Dublin show on December 4th 2025. Fans can also see them perform live at this year’s Electric Picnic, next weekend in Stradbally.

Amble’s meteoric rise is a testament to their dedication: the trio — Robbie Cunningham, Ross McNerney (mandolin/bouzouki), and Oisin McCaffrey (vocals/guitar) — only formed in late 2022 after quitting their day jobs as school teachers and a data scientist in rural Western Ireland. In just over two years, their captivating energy, descriptive storytelling, and heartfelt lyrics have cultivated a passionate global fanbase, translating into more than 115 million streams and 100K headline tickets sold in 2025.

The forthcoming 4-track EP came to life alongside producer Philip Weinrobe, known for his collaborations with artists like Big Thief’s Adrienne Lenker, marking the first time Amble has opened up their creative process to an outside producer. Staying true to their roots, the band performed and sang every song live together, with room microphones capturing the magic.

Amble’s captivating live performances continue to enrapture audiences worldwide. On September 3rd, they will kick off the second North American leg of their extensive sold-out world headline tour, including two nights at Irving Plaza in New York and El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. This year has also seen them on the festival circuit at Boston Calling, Electric Picnic, and Austin City Limits, in addition to supporting Hozier on his North American arena tour.
