GLOBAL POP SUPERSTAR DUA LIPA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “TRAINING SEASON”

Today, 3x GRAMMY and 6x BRIT Award-winning global pop superstar Dua Lipa releases “Training Season,” the second single from her upcoming album, out later this year. Alongside the track, Dua has released the music video for “Training Season,”.

Speaking of the track, Dua shares, “I had been on a string of bad dates, and the last one was the final straw. The next morning I arrived to the studio to Caroline and Tobias asking me how it all went and I immediately declared ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER,’ and like the best ‘day after’ debriefs with your mates, we had a lot of laughs and it all quickly came together from there.” 

She added, “And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people…men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”

Directed by Vincent Haycock, the “Training Season” video opens with Dua’s voicemail being flooded with apologetic messages and second chance requests. As the song continues, Dua sits alone while she’s surrounded by men vying for her attention as the room begins to spin into chaos. “Training Season” was written by Lipa, along with Caroline Ailin, Danny L. Harle, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and was produced by Parker and Harle.

Earlier this month, Dua kicked off the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards with an electric medley performance of “Training Season,” “Dance The Night,” and “Houdini,” which you can watch here. Dua will return to the stage at the BRIT Awards on March 2nd, where she’s nominated for three awards including Artist of the Year, Best Pop Act, and Song of the Year for “Dance The Night.” 

In Dua’s recently revealed global Rolling Stone cover, her upcoming album was praised as “pop bliss,” while noting it is “uniquely and utterly Dua Lipa: confident dance pop full of witty Instagram-caption-ready one-liners.” In addition to “Training Season,” the album will include “Houdini,” which has now surpassed 300 million streams worldwide and was recently certified silver in the UK. Upon release, the single went straight to No. 1 on the UK Airplay charts making it Dua’s 11th No. 1 UK airplay record, and became the No. 1 music video in the world on YouTube the week of its release. The euphoric club-ready single garnered immediate praise across the board from the likes of Billboard and Rolling Stone, who lauded the track as “a neo-psychedelic dance-floor rager,” to Pitchfork and Vogue, who called it a “pop masterclass.” Recently, Dua became the first female artist to have three songs each with over two billion streams on Spotify (“One Kiss,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “New Rules”).

‘Middle of the Night’ is the first taste of new music from Thomas since last year’s, Six Songs That Thomas Headon Likes And Thinks You Would Like Too, which included the BBC Radio 1-lauded singles ‘2009 TOYOTA‘, ‘Georgia‘ and ‘W4NNA DO’. HEADLINES LONDON’S LAFAYETTE ON APRIL 9TH EUROPEAN TOUR ALSO JUST ANNOUNCED

19-year-old Bea and Her Business is quickly becoming one of the great new hopes of the UK pop scene. Led by the single ‘Born To Be Alive’, her debut EP ‘Introverted Extrovert’ has already exceeded 42 million streams and resulted in her first airplay at Radio 1. Now Bea builds upon her flying momentum by sharing the new single ‘Me Against My Head’. Teasers for the track has already ignited anticipation, with 2.5 million views on TikTok alone and over 10,000 pre-saves.

A beautifully stripped back piano ballad, ‘Me Against My Head’ finds Bea opening up her inner most insecurities for the world to see. Bea wrote ‘Me Against My Head’ with the track’s producer, the Grammy and Ivor Novello winner Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Sam Smith).

‘Me Against My Head’ emerges as Bea prepares to play just her second headline show at London’s Lafayette on April 9^th after selling out her debut headline gig at Omeara late last year, while her first European tour has also just been announced. Her first public performance was on one of the biggest stages imaginable: in front of 100,000 people at a festival in Oslo. That moment also coincided with her first international breakthrough as she landed a Top 50 hit in the Nordics.

Bea started writing songs in childhood. Her ability to capture honest observations and a little caustic humour from universal coming-of-age experiences reflects her early admiration of Lily Allen, while Lana Del Rey and Olivia Rodrigo are two of her current inspirations. But her influences go beyond personal experiences with a particular interest in the art of poetry, most significantly from Leonard Cohen and Kate Bingham. Bea’s first social media following came with her expressive cover versions, but her own songs have forged a much deeper connection with fans.

FEBRUARY 2, 2024 – Global superstar and multi-platinum award-winning songwriter Tones And I has shared a new single entitled “Dreaming” [single art below], which she co-wrote with Sam Nelson of X Ambassadors and co-produced alongside Nelson and Randy Belculfine. “Dreaming” is available today on all streaming platforms and joined by an official music video directed by Tones And I, Nick Kozakis and Liam Kelly – watch it HERE.

About the song, Tones And I commented, “‘Dreaming’ is the first song from my upcoming album. I maintain my integrity in my stories, which always come from a genuine place of love, loss and hope. I have found myself subconsciously writing about things I’ve never written about before. I let my music go where it wants to go, and I never try to force it in one direction to suit a trend or style. “Dreaming” arrives as Tones And I prepares to embark as direct support for P!NK’s 2024 Australia Stadium Tour. The run begins on February 9-10 with a pair of gigs at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia, canvases the continent, and concludes with two nights at Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on March 22-23. Afterwards, she jets off to Asia for a string of dates in May, and then to Europe for a summer trek [full itinerary below].

Tones And I notably capped off 2023 with the powerful anthem “The Greatest,” which was released in support of the Australia Women’s Football team The Matildas, at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Earning critical acclaim, Rolling Stone Australia raved, “‘The Greatest’ opens with towering strings before the singer-songwriter’s emphatic words arrive to inspire.” Tones And I was also featured on the track “BRING IT ON [Official FIFA Walkout Anthem],” alongside Bia and Diarra Sylla, and produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber) which served as the official walk-out song for the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia, and will continue as the official walk-out music for every FIFA match until 2030. Ghetts releases new single, Tumbi

Ghetts has dropped new single, Tumbi, and an accompanying video.

Tumbi sees Ghetts demonstrating his versatility, venturing beyond rap or grime.  Produced by Splurgeboys, the song incorporates elements of amapiano and Afrobeats, whilst vocally Ghetts veers away from straight bars adopting a more nuanced, melodic delivery instead.  The sun-drenched video was shot in the Caribbean and directed by frequent collaborator Nathan James Tettey (Dave, Headie One, Stormzy).

Tumbi follows earlier singles Laps and Twin Sisters, and all three tracks are taken from Ghetts’ expansive new album, On Purpose, With Purpose, out 23rd February.  PRE-SAVE HERE.

On Purpose, With Purpose arrives three years after Ghetts’ last album, the epic Conflict Of Interest, which sparked a paradigm shift in his career.  The record received widespread acclaim, reached #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart, and led to a MOBO Award, plus Mercury Music Prize and Brit Award nominations.
