AHEAD OF THEIR SOLD-OUT IRISH, UK & AMERICAN TOUR
Amble, the trio of accomplished musicians and song-writers, Robbie Cunningham, Oisin McCaffrey and Ross Mc Nerney release their brand new single “Little White Chapel” today.
The new single follows a triumphant and packed out Electric Arena tent at this year’s Electric Picnic, with over 10,000 fans in attendance with an overflow of people queuing to get in – a remarkable feat for the band, who only came together just under two years ago. Known for their honest, moving and relatable lyricism along with incredible musicianship, Amble continue to grow and wow a loyal and dedicated fan base across the country, having sold 20’000 tickets globally this year. Later this month, the band kick-start their SOLD-OUT US, UK and Ireland tour through to December. Please see the full list of shows below.
“Little White Chapel” is just a taste of more music to come. The track was composed in June of 2024 and recorded in Ireland’s famed studio, Grouse Lodge Recording Studios the same month.
Written by all three members, they explain; ‘the song conveys the story of two lovers, an intimate reflection on the power of a connection and love. Beginning with one speaking in the third person critiquing themselves, their own morals, their own life decisions, their own courage and regrets. The narrative swiftly changes however when two lovers meet. The story from both sides, the overwhelming rush of emotion when you first fall in love and feel like you have found “the one”. The feeling of not remembering what it was like before this person fell into your life. The excitement, the passion, the unknowing fueling the two lovers to question their next step “why walk when we can run?” and having only just met decide to run away together and get married in a “Little White Chapel”.
The song moves from each lover’s perspective, one can be completely and utterly enthralled and convinced by the other, but how they have spent their life “blowing dreams and cigarettes”, and now for the other lover they are all in, “put the lighter down and cashed in all his bets”.
The story ends on a much more hopeful tone than it begins. The two lovers were lucky enough to find someone they truly consider to be their soul mates and were able to leave behind past lives, run away and begin a new story together.
ABOUT AMBLE
Amble are Robbie Cunningham, Oisin McCaffrey and Ross Mc Nerney, a three-piece ensemble of songwriters hailing from the Midlands and West of Ireland. Amble’s debut EP, 2023’s Amble (Live), introduced a new, musing, trad-tinged trio of songwriters to the Irish music scene, followed by 2024’s highly distinctive Of Land and Sea, which finds the group expanding their sound to an ever-more global audience. The unique perspective of three individual songwriters creates a peerless body of work – built on the now familiar, ruminative observations on the world and more fitting to the Amble journey – the stories unfolding each day within it.
